New Renaissance Labs (New Renaissance Capital Corp., Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) operates the New Renaissance Engine at www.newrenaissancelabs.com — a private AI business-intelligence platform for companies and their teams. Contact: ben@newrenaissancelabs.com.
What we collect
Account data: your name, email address, and workspace settings when you create an account.
Store data via connectors (including the New Renaissance Data Connector for Shopify): products, orders, and — only where you grant it — customer name and email fields. Connector access is read-only and limited to the scopes you approve at install (read_products, read_orders, read_customers).
Usage data: standard server logs and product analytics used to keep the platform reliable and secure.
How we use it
Store data is used solely to provide the product to you: building your workspace's private company memory, generating analytics and reports, and drafting marketing content for your own brand. Data from your workspace is never sold, never shared with other tenants, never used for advertising to your customers by us, and never used to train models shared across customers.
Where it lives and how it is protected
Data is stored in managed Postgres (Supabase) with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS in transit; backups are encrypted. Connector OAuth tokens are sealed with envelope encryption. Every tenant is isolated by database Row-Level Security, so one workspace can never read another's rows. Access to personal data is limited, logged, and auditable.
Retention and deletion
Connector-derived personal data lives only as long as the connection does. Uninstalling the Shopify app triggers Shopify's shop/redact process and we erase the store's connector data, including stored tokens. Individual customer redaction requests (customers/redact) erase that customer's data, and customers/data_request inquiries are honored — each within 30 days. You can also disconnect a store or delete your workspace at any time, which removes its data.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. We do not sell personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of selling. To exercise any right, email ben@newrenaissancelabs.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Automated decision-making
The Engine generates analysis and drafts; it does not make automated decisions about individuals that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Changes
We will post any material change to this policy on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance.
