Consulting
The harness, and the hands to deploy it.
New Renaissance Labs sells the New Renaissance Engine and the people who put it to work. We provision your companies, write their mandates, seed their memory, set the price sheet and stand the first plans up; then we hand you the keys or keep operating it with you. Every engagement runs on the substrate the product ships with: one registry, one ledger, one audit trail, a human yes before anything irreversible.
01 — Built — deployed for you
Thirteen services. Each names what ships today and what you are left holding.
Every deliverable below is a row, a folder, a report, a mandate or a token inside a workspace you own, metered on the same price sheet as the product.
01
Harness deployment & portfolio onboarding
We stand the control plane up around your companies. Each is provisioned from Admin → Accounts as a claimable workspace: a real login, an access password, starter credits and a link the operating lead claims with their own email. We write each mandate (mission, reserved matters, the owner’s weekly minutes), seed the 14 memory floors and set the live price sheet.
- Delivered
- Provisioned companies, a ratified mandate each, seeded memory, a published price sheet, a tenants table reading balance and burn.
- Engagement shape
- Diagnostic, then Deployment.
02
Fractional Chief AI Officer
A standing operator of the harness for your companies. Every Monday each AI manager composes its pack: scorecard, decisions taken, the reserved queue, risk moves, one question. We consent or veto with a written reason (a veto becomes a lesson the manager recalls), release or decline gated steps, and recommend trust-ladder moves from the report card: settled decisions, Brier calibration, breaches.
- Delivered
- Weekly pack review per company, minuted decisions, a monthly note on balance and burn.
- Engagement shape
- Operate, monthly.

03
AI lead generation & personalised outreach systems
Lead Generator by geography: a plain-English territory resolves into a city list with the estimate shown before any spend; research costs 8 credits per lead actually found, and a field that cannot be found stays blank. Qualified leads convert into the CRM. Outreach campaigns send from your own mailboxes over SMTP with a warm-up ramp, a send window and a one-click unsubscribe on every message.
- Delivered
- Lead folders per territory, a field spec saved as a template, converted CRM contacts, one campaign per folder, armed by you.
- Engagement shape
- Deployment; Operate for campaign management.
04
Dynamic pricing & pricing intelligence
Product & Market Pricing Analysis reports (800 credits at full depth) capture the live price map, margin structure and elasticity into the Product & Market Pricing floor, which the AI manager reads before any price change, promotion or bundle. There the Equilibrium Bench estimates demand from your own data and proposes a profit-optimal price with its band, with zero model calls.
- Delivered
- A pricing floor on a report cadence, a standing equilibrium read, Valuation Workbench scenarios with an assumptions ledger.
- Engagement shape
- Deployment, then a report cadence on Operate.
05
DILIGENCE ENGINE™ research desk
The whitepaper desk run as your research department: 15 report types, Executive Diligence to Game Theory to Risk Assessment, delivered in minutes with a live ETA, a bibliography and a machine-readable appendix that feeds Company Memory. Depth is chosen in pages, one to 50, and priced before the run: 290 credits for a one-page brief, 800 for the full paper.
- Delivered
- A report library in folders, a desk brief, and the verifier (citations resolved, arithmetic checked by program) on anything bound for a board.
- Engagement shape
- Any shape; usually the first thing a Diagnostic commissions.

06
Private-equity intelligence
The buy side and the raise side on one memory. An Investment Thesis compiles into hard screens and weighted factors; targets rank deterministically with an audit hash each. Capital Command scores fundability out of 100 and names the gap behind every missing point; token-gated Data Rooms carry a per-visitor watermark, a published heat score and a Q&A queue where only a published answer is visible.
- Delivered
- A saved thesis and rulebook, a screening board, Valuation Workbench packs, data rooms for the workspaces that raise.
- Engagement shape
- Deployment, switched on per workspace; Operate once a pipeline is live.
07
Company Memory & knowledge systems
The memory the AI manager thinks with: 14 floors, each fed by named report types, plus custom layers designed in the Layer Foundry from a plain-English description (250 credits; activation free). Brain Dump, switched on per workspace, ingests your own files and folders after you approve an estimate; Theory of Mind models each rival, customer, supplier and partner: goals, predicted moves, best response, a falsification test.
- Delivered
- A trained memory stack, custom layers where needed, opponent models for the counterparties that matter, a checksummed Mind File backup you own.
- Engagement shape
- Deployment; a refresh cadence on Operate.
08
Legal document automation & Private Investigation
The Legal Department drafts 26 document types in 6 groups, NDAs to term sheets to demand letters, from Company Memory under a required jurisdiction, disclaimer-bound, at 250 credits per draft. The Private Investigation Tool is purpose-gated: business relationship, fraud prevention and litigation research only. Due diligence is 1,200 credits standard, 2,800 deep, every statement cited to a public source.
- Delivered
- Templates and jurisdictions per company, a review routine, the attestation log an auditor asks for.
- Engagement shape
- Deployment.

09
RFP & proposal engine
RFP Radar sweeps saved searches on a schedule and, where switched on, ingests 14 public procurement feed providers into an opportunity inbox with a fit score. The house-style studio learns length and structure from your past proposals. Each opportunity yields a four-asset kit, one-pager, deck, sales cheat sheet and full proposal, at 350 credits, in the buyer’s own colours.
- Delivered
- Saved searches and portal accounts, a house-style profile, a proposal routine run from the inbox.
- Engagement shape
- Deployment.
10
Brand Radar & reputation intelligence
Brand Radar listens across 14 source types, review platforms, Reddit, forums, social and the open web, with proof of life on every source and a reputation score that is a published formula. AI-visibility scans ask each connected provider what it says about you and your competitors. Signal rules flag the CRM deterministically; replies are drafted, never auto-sent.
- Delivered
- Watch terms, fetch-verified source lists, a sweep cadence, AI-visibility prompts, signal rules into the CRM.
- Engagement shape
- Deployment; a sweep cadence on Operate.
11
White-label & partner enablement
The partner console configured for a firm that resells the harness: brand name, logo, primary colour, from-email and custom-domain fields; a plan builder with your own prices; provisioning templates that create a client company with starter credits in one action; a monthly wholesale statement at your tier, 50 / 45 / 40 percent of retail. Client-facing domains, mail and PDFs are on the build list below.
- Delivered
- A configured partner, plans, templates, the first clients provisioned, a statement you can reconcile.
- Engagement shape
- Deployment.
12
Agent integration
Your own agents, Claude, ChatGPT or something you built, driving a governed workspace through the same audited registry as the buttons. We mint MCP tokens per workspace (8 tools, rate-limited per token, hashed at rest, metered on the same ledger), publish the OpenAPI description of the 12 public paths, and set the AI manager’s external-agent mode: solo, copilot or replace.
- Delivered
- Tokens, the Agent Setup Kit loaded into your assistant, a first plan driven from outside and tested end to end.
- Engagement shape
- Deployment, usually short.
13
Training & change management
The people side: operators who know what to approve, what to veto and why. We write operator playbooks for the Boardroom and the Tactical Operations floor, agree the reserved-matter rules with your team, and hand every operating lead the Agent Setup Kit. For a cohort trained on the platform itself, the Founder’s Ascension curriculum Preview, 13 quests across 6 acts, can be switched on.
- Delivered
- Playbooks, reserved-matter rules written into the mandate, a trained operating lead per company.
- Engagement shape
- Deployment and Operate.

02 — Buildable — bespoke engineering on the same substrate
What we build to order.
None of this is in the product today, and every row carries the label to say so.
These capabilities are sold as projects, scoped in a Diagnostic and quoted in writing, and built on the audited registry and ledger substrate the product already runs on: every new mutation lands in the same action registry, every metered step reserves and settles on the same append-only ledger, every call writes the same audit row. A build adds a surface; it never adds a second way for money or mutations to move.
| Capability | What it unlocks | Typical shape |
|---|---|---|
| Cross-company portfolio cockpit & consolidated reportingRoadmap | Objectives, manager status, balance and burn for every company side by side; one consolidated Monday pack. | Project; a cross-tenant read model over the tenants table and packs. |
| In-app company switcher & team invitationsRoadmap | Step between companies without re-minting claims by hand; invite a lead or a member. | Short project; membership rows, invitation tokens, a claims re-mint. |
| Client-facing white-label domains, branded email and PDFsRoadmap | A partner's clients see the partner's brand on the hub, in mail and on every report. | Project; host-to-partner theme resolution, a domain verifier, PDF theme tokens. |
| Live sync for QuickBooks, Stripe, HubSpot, GA4, Meta Ads and custom connectorsRoadmap | Cash, invoices, deals and traffic landing in Company Memory on a schedule, zero AI in the path. | Per connector; the live Shopify sync is the template. |
| Multi-step email sequences with reply captureRoadmap | Follow-ups on a cadence that stop on reply, with replies classified into the inbox. | Project on the outreach engine plus inbound mail capture. |
| Social auto-posting publishers per platformRoadmap | Approved drafts published to each network straight from the queue. | One publisher worker per platform on the content queue. |
| Paid-ads launch and attributionRoadmap | Approved experiments launched on your own ad accounts, with daily metrics and a verdict. | Per platform; media spend stays on your accounts. |
| AI voice agent with disclosureRoadmap | Calls that say they are an AI, honour the do-not-call list and book into the CRM. | A telephony worker on the consent-gated call queue. |
| Classifieds automationRoadmap | Listings posted and reposted where a marketplace's terms allow it. | Assisted-browser and kit posting workers on the drafts. |
| SSO, MFA and enterprise identityRoadmap | Single sign-on and a second factor for firms whose policy requires them. | An identity layer in front of magic-link and social sign-in. |
| Custom memory layers and ontology extensionsRoadmap | New kinds of memory (a fleet, a formulary, a book of companies) with their own entities and charts. | Layer Foundry contracts extended into the claims substrate. |
| Industry editions: lexicon, navigation, home layoutRoadmap | An owner edition or an investor edition whose words and navigation match the reader. | Edition profiles exist; the build wires them into the chrome. |
| Custom report types and prompt librariesRoadmap | A report your desk orders like the other 15, with your own master prompt and memory routing. | A report-type entry, a prompt master, a floor mapping, a PDF layout. |
| n8n execution workflows (zero-AI) for any back-office processRoadmap | Deterministic hands for invoicing, reconciliation or hand-offs, audited like everything else. | Workflows on the service routes; CI enforces zero AI nodes. |
| Private deployments and data-residency optionsRoadmap | The harness in your own cloud account or region. | Infrastructure re-homed; the same migrations, policies and guards. |
03 — Engagement shapes
Three shapes. Each one ends in something you can read, price and keep.
The Diagnostic is short by design: it exists to produce the scope and the price for everything after it, in writing.
01
Diagnostic — two weeks
We map the portfolio or the company: which operations merit a harness, which records exist, which decisions stay reserved for a human. You receive a written diagnostic plan (companies to provision, mandates, floors to seed, the price sheet) and a price for the Deployment.
02
Deployment — four to eight weeks
We provision each workspace, ratify its mandate, seed Company Memory from your records and from research, load lead folders and the report library, connect mailboxes and data sources, and start every AI manager in watching mode. You approve each plan before it runs.
03
Operate — monthly
A standing operator reviews each company's Monday pack, releases or vetoes gates with reasons, tunes the price sheet and the envelopes, and reports balance and burn across the book.
04 — Who runs the engagement
Every engagement is led by the founder.
Ben Tam, founder and Managing Director of New Renaissance Capital, leads every engagement personally: a serial founder since 2013 across quant finance, neurotech, ed-tech, biometrics, blockchain, e-commerce and manufacturing, who built LLM-powered adaptive teaching engines in 2018, before ChatGPT. His training is game theory, Political Science, Philosophy and Economics at UBC and then Machine Learning at Stanford, and the harness is the operating playbook he wanted for his own companies, written as software.
05 — How we price
By scope. Credits are separate, and metered at the published price.
Consulting is priced by scope. The Diagnostic is a fixed engagement; the Deployment is quoted in writing at the end of it, against the plan you have read; Operate is a monthly retainer sized to the number of companies and the cadence reviewed.
Platform usage is never bundled into that. Every metered run inside your workspaces, a report, a legal draft, a lead dossier, a proposal kit, is paid in credits at the published price sheet, shown before the run and refunded in full if it fails. One credit is 10¢ CAD, on a membership or a pack; your companies hold their own balances, and we never mark up the meter.
Next step
Bring us a portfolio, a company or a process.
A scoping call is 45 minutes. You leave with a written diagnostic plan and a price.
